Richmond Police Dept In NH Investigating ATV Accident

A woman was seriously injured in an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) accident in Richmond, N.H., late Sunday evening. Rachel Way, age 22, of Walpole, was traveling on Taylor Hill Road in Richmond when she failed to negotiate a corner and rolled her four-wheeler.

She was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover with serious injuries. The woman had been traveling with a group of four ATV riders and was reported to have been operating on a public way.

"Operation of an ATV on a public way is illegal and dangerous in the state of New Hampshire," said Major Tim Acerno, coordinator of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's OHRV program. The incident is being investigated by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and the Richmond Police. No further information is available at this time.
